R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A caring and generous life drew to a close with the |
|
|
passing of Magdalena Sanchez Zapata on January 15, 2021, at the age |
|
|
of 56; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Damacio and Maria Elena Garza |
|
|
Sanchez, the former Maggie Sanchez was born on March 9, 1964, in |
|
|
Robstown, and grew up with five siblings, Esmeralda, Julian, |
|
|
Alfredo, Edward, and Guadalupe; a pharmacy technician, she enjoyed |
|
|
a successful career with CVS; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Zapata shared a rewarding marriage with her |
|
|
husband of 37 years, Guillermo, and she took great pride in her |
|
|
children, William, Jennifer, and Kimberly; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Deeply devoted to her family, her friends, and her |
|
|
faith, Maggie Zapata touched countless lives with her warmth and |
|
|
kindness, and she will forever be a source of inspiration to those |
|
|
she leaves behind; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory |
|
|
of Magdalena Sanchez Zapata and extend sincere condolences to all |
|
|
who mourn her passing; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Maggie |
|
|
Zapata. |
