R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Jose A. Orobio of Fort Worth is retiring from the |
|
|
Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts on August 31, 2021, drawing to |
|
|
a close more than two and a half decades of outstanding public |
|
|
service; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joe Orobio joined the Texas Comptroller of Public |
|
|
Accounts on September 1, 1994; over the course of his 27-year |
|
|
tenure, he has served as a tax auditor and as a staff member in the |
|
|
regional processing center, and he has been active with the State |
|
|
Employee Charitable Campaign team as well as with a number of other |
|
|
committees; he is retiring from his position as a tax auditor V in |
|
|
the audit division; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Prior to his career with the comptroller's office, |
|
|
Mr. Orobio worked in the restaurant industry; he holds an associate |
|
|
degree in restaurant management from Del Mar College and a |
|
|
bachelor's degree in business administration from Texas A&M |
|
|
University-Commerce; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joe Orobio's skill, dedication, and commitment to |
|
|
excellence have greatly benefited his fellow citizens, and he may |
|
|
indeed reflect with pride on a career well spent as he embarks on |
|
|
the next exciting chapter of his life; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Jose A. Orobio |
|
|
on his retirement from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts and |
|
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Orobio as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
