SENATE RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize the James Tull Chapter of the National Society
  Daughters of the American Revolution, which is celebrating
  September 17 through 23, 2021, as Constitution Week; and
         WHEREAS, September 17, 2021, marks the 234th anniversary
  of the drafting of the Constitution of the United States of
  America; Public Law 915 guarantees the issuance of an annual
  proclamation by the president of the United States designating
  September 17 through 23 as Constitution Week; and
         WHEREAS, For more than two centuries, the United States
  Constitution has provided a framework through which the people of
  the United States can continue to reaffirm the ideals of liberty
  and justice held dearly by its framers; and
         WHEREAS, It is truly fitting that a week be set aside to
  pay tribute to this magnificent document and to call on people
  across the country to reflect on the rights and responsibilities
  of United States citizenship; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend the members of
  the James Tull Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the
  American Revolution on their outstanding work in raising
  awareness of the importance of the United States Constitution and
  extend to them best wishes for a memorable Constitution Week
  celebration; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  the chapter as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
