Amend HB 25 (house committee report) on page 2 by striking lines 16 through 20 and substituting the following appropriately lettered subsection:
(____) An interscholastic athletic team described by Subsection (a) may allow a student who would otherwise not be allowed to compete in an interscholastic athletic competition that is designated for male students under Subsection (a) to compete in the competition if the student:
(1) is female and a corresponding interscholastic athletic competition designated for female students is not offered or available; or
(2) identifies as a transgender male.
