R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Sedalia Jones Dove is celebrating her 90th birthday
  on September 23, 2021, to the great delight of her loved ones; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Coolidge to Mary Francis and Ed Jones in
  1931, the former Sedalia Jones grew up with six older siblings; she
  was employed by TRW for three decades until her retirement; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Dove's fine family has grown to include five
  children, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, who
  delight in sharing happy moments with their treasured matriarch,
  going on trips, talking, laughing, and perhaps even getting a slice
  of her fabulous Sock It To Me Cake; kind and caring, she has also
  played a maternal role in the lives of many people; and
         WHEREAS, An avid traveler, Ms. Dove has made countless
  special memories on visits to her sister, Myrtle Lee Spivey, in
  Odessa, which she calls her second hometown; the close pair spent
  considerable time in Mexia as well; Ms. Dove's other favorite
  activities include shopping and walking her favorite dog, Daisy;
  and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Dove is sustained by a strong faith; she is a
  valued member of Park Hills Community Church, which is led by her
  son, Pastor Larry Dove; and
         WHEREAS, Blessed with a devoted family and admiring friends,
  Sedalia Dove is a source of joy and inspiration to all who have the
  great privilege of knowing her and of sharing in the richness of her
  life; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Sedalia Jones
  Dove on her 90th birthday and extend to her sincere best wishes for
  continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Dove as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
