R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Kevin Raines was elected as mayor of the City of |
|
|
Rosenberg on May 1, 2021; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In fulfilling the duties of his office, Mayor Raines |
|
|
draws on a wealth of valuable experience; this committed public |
|
|
official won election to the Rosenberg City Council in June 2019, |
|
|
and he was named mayor pro tem later that month and again the |
|
|
following year; he has further contributed to the city as a member |
|
|
of the Parks and Recreation Board, the Rosenberg Development |
|
|
Corporation Board, the Fort Bend Economic Development Council, and |
|
|
various other committees; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A resident of Rosenberg since the early 1990s, Mayor |
|
|
Raines worked for the city's police department for nearly two |
|
|
decades, serving as a patrol officer, patrol sergeant, and |
|
|
detective before retiring in 2011; in all his endeavors, he enjoys |
|
|
the love and support of his wife, Lisa, and their three daughters; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The effective operation of government depends on the |
|
|
able and dedicated efforts of our public servants, and Kevin Raines |
|
|
may reflect with pride on his accomplishments as he takes on the |
|
|
challenges and opportunities of his role as mayor; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Kevin Raines |
|
|
on his election as mayor of Rosenberg and extend to him sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success with his important work; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mayor Raines as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
