R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Aledo Independent School District Board of |
|
|
Trustees has been named the 2021 Outstanding School Board by the |
|
|
Texas Association of School Administrators; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This prestigious accolade is the highest honor |
|
|
conferred by TASA, which launched its awards program in 1971 to |
|
|
acknowledge school boards that have demonstrated an exceptional |
|
|
commitment to their students and their communities; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Chosen from among five finalists, the Aledo ISD |
|
|
board was commended for its teamwork and cohesion; the evaluating |
|
|
committee noted that members prepared thoroughly for meetings and |
|
|
worked well together even when disagreements arose; building trust |
|
|
among residents of the community, the board has remained focused as |
|
|
a group on student learning and academic achievement; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The committee also praised the eight members for |
|
|
seeking out training opportunities in order to deepen their |
|
|
understanding of curriculum and their ability to identify and |
|
|
support high-quality instruction in the classroom; in addition, the |
|
|
board was commended for its fiscal responsibility and skill in |
|
|
managing change in the rapidly growing district; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Dedicated to promoting educational excellence, the |
|
|
members of the Aledo ISD Board of Trustees are helping area youth |
|
|
reach their full potential, and they are richly deserving of this |
|
|
notable honor; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate the Aledo |
|
|
Independent School District Board of Trustees on its selection as |
|
|
the 2021 Outstanding School Board by the Texas Association of |
|
|
School Administrators and extend to the members sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued success in their vital endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the board as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
