R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The Aledo Independent School District Board of
  Trustees has been named the 2021 Outstanding School Board by the
  Texas Association of School Administrators; and
         WHEREAS, This prestigious accolade is the highest honor
  conferred by TASA, which launched its awards program in 1971 to
  acknowledge school boards that have demonstrated an exceptional
  commitment to their students and their communities; and
         WHEREAS, Chosen from among five finalists, the Aledo ISD
  board was commended for its teamwork and cohesion; the evaluating
  committee noted that members prepared thoroughly for meetings and
  worked well together even when disagreements arose; building trust
  among residents of the community, the board has remained focused as
  a group on student learning and academic achievement; and
         WHEREAS, The committee also praised the eight members for
  seeking out training opportunities in order to deepen their
  understanding of curriculum and their ability to identify and
  support high-quality instruction in the classroom; in addition, the
  board was commended for its fiscal responsibility and skill in
  managing change in the rapidly growing district; and
         WHEREAS, Dedicated to promoting educational excellence, the
  members of the Aledo ISD Board of Trustees are helping area youth
  reach their full potential, and they are richly deserving of this
  notable honor; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate the Aledo
  Independent School District Board of Trustees on its selection as
  the 2021 Outstanding School Board by the Texas Association of
  School Administrators and extend to the members sincere best wishes
  for continued success in their vital endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the board as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
