R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Satish Seth enjoyed a highly successful and |
|
|
productive engineering career that spanned several decades, during |
|
|
which time he worked on an array of projects that continue to |
|
|
benefit his fellow citizens in Houston and beyond; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, An alumnus of Bhopal University in India, Satish |
|
|
Seth has been hired to oversee civil engineering efforts for both |
|
|
private businesses and government agencies; his employers have |
|
|
included Brown and Root, where he worked for over 25 years, and CE |
|
|
Webber, where he worked for a decade; in addition, he was affiliated |
|
|
with the City of Houston for five years, and he was notably involved |
|
|
in the construction of a number of roadways around Houston, |
|
|
including large parts of Interstates 10 and 45, as well as roads at |
|
|
George Bush Intercontinental Airport; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Seth also assisted in building Hindu community |
|
|
temples, and since his retirement, he has remained active with |
|
|
Hindu and Sikh worship societies and other religious groups; he has |
|
|
long been a role model for his community, and he has supported |
|
|
up-and-coming engineers by helping them to secure well-paying job |
|
|
opportunities; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Satish Seth has consistently upheld the highest |
|
|
standards of his profession, and his contributions to his state and |
|
|
community will be appreciated for years to come; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby honor Satish Seth for his |
|
|
achievements as a professional engineer and extend to him sincere |
|
|
best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Seth as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
