R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Philip Martin Loveless |
|
of Arlington were deeply saddened by his death on October 1, 2021, |
|
at the age of 76; and |
|
WHEREAS, The son of Colonel Philip Loveless Jr. and Virginia |
|
Loveless, Phil Loveless was born on February 3, 1945, in Warren, |
|
Ohio; after graduating from Sidney Lanier High School in 1963, he |
|
earned a business degree from Kent State University, where he was |
|
commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Air Force; during his |
|
service, he was a radar navigator on a B-52 bomber and received a |
|
master's degree in business from Indiana University as part of the |
|
Air Force Institute of Technology program; and |
|
WHEREAS, Following the completion of his enlistment in 1975, |
|
Mr. Loveless embarked on a rewarding career with American Hospital |
|
Supply that would span 30 years; outgoing and respected by all who |
|
knew him, he became a top-selling medical supply salesman for the |
|
company; and |
|
WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Loveless benefited from |
|
the love and support of his wife, Linda, with whom he shared a |
|
fulfilling marriage of more than five decades; he took great pride |
|
in their three children, Kevin, Kirk, and Jennifer, and with the |
|
passing years, he had the pleasure of seeing his family grow to |
|
include four treasured grandchildren, Cameron, Ashley, Katelyn, |
|
and Gavin; in his leisure hours, he enjoyed traveling, boating, and |
|
spending time at the beach and in the countryside near Hico; and |
|
WHEREAS, A proud veteran, a devoted father, and a loving |
|
husband, Phil Loveless lived a life that was rich in the intangibles |
|
that matter most, and he will forever hold a special place in the |
|
hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to know him; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory |
|
of Philip Martin Loveless and extend sincere sympathy to the |
|
members of his family: to his wife, Linda Rankin Loveless; to his |
|
children, Kevin Loveless, Kirk Loveless and his wife, Susan, and |
|
Jennifer Loveless Hill and her husband, John; to his grandchildren, |
|
Cameron, Ashley, Katelyn, and Gavin; and to his other relatives and |
|
many friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Phil |
|
Loveless. |
