R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The annual Mansfield Independent School District
  Back-to-School Bash brings members of the community together for a
  day of family fun that benefits students of all ages; and
         WHEREAS, Among the many free items provided at the event are
  backpacks filled with school supplies, shoes, and such health
  services as sports physicals, immunizations, and eye exams; parents
  have the opportunity to meet with campus representatives, and civic
  groups and business representatives are on hand to provide
  additional information about relevant services and products;
  students can also participate in a variety of activities and games;
  and
         WHEREAS, Ably guided by superintendent Dr. Kimberley Cantu,
  Mansfield ISD fosters a challenging and supportive learning
  environment for a diverse and multicultural population of more than
  35,000 students; located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, the
  district encompasses 49 campuses that include prekindergarten,
  STEM, and career and technology academies, an alternative education
  center, and an early college high school; and
         WHEREAS, The Mansfield ISD Back-to-School Bash is a
  much-anticipated celebration of a new school year, and the
  district's outstanding reputation is a source of tremendous pride
  for the community; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commemorate the annual
  Mansfield Independent School District Back-to-School Bash and
  extend to all those associated with the district sincere best
  wishes for a successful school year; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mansfield ISD as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
