A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to lawsuits against businesses that require proof of
  COVID-19 vaccination or post-transmission recovery.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 161.0085, Health and Safety Code, is
  amended by adding Subsection (f) to read as follows:
         (f)  This section does not create a private cause of action
  against a business for legal or equitable relief.
         SECTION 2.  This Act applies to an action filed on or after
  the effective date of this Act or pending on the effective date of
  this Act.
         SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
  a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
  provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution.  If this
  Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
  Act takes effect on the 91st day after the last day of the
  legislative session.
