SENATE RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Darius D. Todd, who retired from the Office of the
  Comptroller of Public Accounts on July 31, 2021, after 28 years
  of outstanding service to the state; and
         WHEREAS, Darius Todd began his distinguished career in
  state service as an employee of the Texas Department of State
  Health Services, where he served in capacities ranging from
  network manager to business analyst; he also served as the senior
  internet technology liaison to the Multi-agency Coordination
  Center and played an important role in multiple disaster response
  efforts; and
         WHEREAS, He joined the comptroller's office in 2013 as a
  software development technical lead; over the course of his
  tenure with the agency, he was instrumental in the design,
  development, delivery, and support of certified public
  accountant financial and tax applications; in June of 2015, he
  became the Database Administration and Application Performance
  manager in the IT Applications Services Division; and
         WHEREAS, Talented and resourceful, he handled his many
  responsibilities with noteworthy efficiency, dedication, and
  attention to detail; and
         WHEREAS, An exemplary public servant, he was respected and
  admired by his colleagues, and his presence at the Office of the
  Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly missed; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th
  Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Darius D. Todd on
  his exceptional service to the people of Texas and extend to him
  best wishes for continued success in all his endeavors; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
