SENATE RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and
  commemorates the life of Jesus "Jesse" S. Trevino, who died
  September 3, 2021, at the age of 95; and
         WHEREAS, A treasured member of the McAllen community,
  Jesse Trevino enjoyed a rewarding life as a devoted family man, a
  successful businessman, and an esteemed civic leader; and
         WHEREAS, Jesse Trevino was born in Alice, Texas, to
  Ascencio and Martina Trevino; he served with distinction in the
  United States Army during World War II, and he attended The
  University of Texas at Austin and graduated with a bachelor of
  business administration degree in 1950; and
         WHEREAS, Jesse shared 69 years of marriage with Mary Lou
  Trevino; they were blessed with two children, David Jesus Trevino
  and Laura Alicia Flores, and their grandson, Agapito Jesus
  Flores, was a source of great pride and joy; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Trevino was the president of the Jesse
  Trevino Insurance Agency for 52 years, and he served on
  professional boards at both the local and state levels; he helped
  bring new opportunities to students through his extensive work on
  local school boards, and he served in numerous board positions
  for Our Lady of Sorrows and Sacred Heart Catholic Church; he was
  also the founder of the beloved Tripa Club, which brought
  businessmen together for much anticipated biannual gatherings;
  and
         WHEREAS, A beloved Texan, he inspired his many friends and
  loved ones through his kindness, his good humor, and his generous
  heart, and he will long be remembered with respect and admiration
  by all who were privileged to share in his life; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th
  Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby extend sincere
  condolences to the bereaved family of Jesus S. Trevino; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
  Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
  memory of Jesse Trevino.
