SENATE RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize Kirk Mikulec, who is stepping down from his position as
  a member of The Colony City Council in November of 2021; and
         WHEREAS, Kirk began serving The Colony community in 1999
  as a member of the Planning and Zoning Commission, and in 2005, he
  was elected to serve as the Place 4 representative on The Colony
  City Council; he was reelected to that position for two
  consecutive three-year terms, and in 2012, he was elected to
  serve as the Place 1 representative; he is stepping down after
  three terms in the position; and
         WHEREAS, Councilmember Mikulec has served multiple times
  as both deputy mayor pro tempore and mayor pro tempore, and he has
  helped to guide The Colony through its most successful period of
  growth and development; and
         WHEREAS, An exemplary gentleman, Kirk Mikulec is respected
  by his colleagues in city government and by the citizens of The
  Colony; he is truly deserving of recognition for his commitment
  to making The Colony a better place in which to live, work, and
  raise a family; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 87th
  Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commend Kirk Mikulec for
  his invaluable contributions to The Colony and extend to him best
  wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
  him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
