Amend HB 3261 (house committee report) as follows:
(1) On page 4, line 25, between the period and "Each", insert "(a)".
(2) On page 5, between lines 1 and 2, insert the following appropriately lettered subsection:
(____) The agency may recommend, but may not require, that a school district make external keyboards available for student use with tablet devices for the electronic administration of an assessment instrument, including any portion of an assessment instrument that contains constructed response or essay items.
