AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT
Under current law, certain state laws relating to public school districts do not apply to the Windham School District. Specifically, Windham does not have the same authority as other school districts to submit complaints to the State Board for Educator Certification for purposes of imposing sanctions against a teacher whose resignation does not comply with state law. In addition, Windham is the only school district where teacher and administrator evaluations are subject to release under the state public information law. H.B. 3457 seeks to address these issues by extending the applicability of certain laws to the Windham School District.
H.B. 3457 amends current law relating to the applicability of certain laws to the Windham School District and teachers or administrators of the district.
RULEMAKING AUTHORITY
This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency.
