History and Background
H.B. 4568 was brought to us by our county to include the judge of our newly created county court at law on the Rockwall Juvenile Board (board).
Problem
Updating statute to include the new county court at law judge on the board. The language also fixes the statute so that if additional county courts at law are added, the legislature will not need to take up this issue again, and future judges will automatically be added to the board.
Solution
This bill strikes the language which included the single Rockwall County court at law, and provides that all judges of the county courts at law in Rockwall County are to be included on the board.
H.B. 4568 amends current law relating to the Rockwall County Juvenile Board.
RULEMAKING AUTHORITY
This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency.
