A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the design of motor vehicle registration insignia. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 502.00211, Transportation Code, is |
|
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 502.00211. DESIGN OF REGISTRATION INSIGNIA. (a) The |
|
|
department shall prepare the designs and specifications to be used |
|
|
as the registration insignia. |
|
|
(b) At the beginning of each calendar year, the department |
|
|
shall change the color of the registration insignia to be a color |
|
|
that is easily distinguishable from the color of an insignia issued |
|
|
in the preceding calendar year. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
