A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
| |
|
|
relating to designating November 7 as Victims of Communism Day. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 662, Government Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Section 662.080 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 662.080. VICTIMS OF COMMUNISM DAY. (a) November 7 is |
|
|
Victims of Communism Day in memory of the more than 100 million |
|
|
people who died and countless others who suffered under communist |
|
|
regimes. |
|
|
(b) Victims of Communism Day may be regularly observed by |
|
|
appropriate ceremonies and activities. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
