A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the authority of a county assistance district to |
|
|
perform district functions outside the district. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 387.003, Local Government Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Subsection (a-2) to read as follows: |
|
|
(a-2) A district may perform the functions authorized by |
|
|
Subsection (a-1) outside the district for the benefit of the |
|
|
district in a location that is not more than five miles from the |
|
|
district in this state. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
