A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to state agency reports submitted to the legislature. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 2052.0021, Government Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Subsection (e) to read as follows: |
|
|
(e) Notwithstanding a law that requires a state agency to |
|
|
submit a report to the legislature for an indefinite period, a state |
|
|
agency may request that the Sunset Advisory Commission recommend to |
|
|
the legislature that the requirement to submit the report be |
|
|
discontinued by legislation to be considered at the legislature's |
|
|
next regular session on or after the 10th anniversary of the date |
|
|
the state agency first submitted the report to the legislature. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
