A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the inspection of prevailing wage records by certain |
|
|
counties. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 2258, Government Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Section 2258.0245 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 2258.0245. RECORD INSPECTIONS BY CERTAIN COUNTIES. |
|
|
(a) This section applies only to a county with a population of |
|
|
585,000 or more that is adjacent to a county with a population of 4 |
|
|
million or more. |
|
|
(b) A county may designate the county department or officer |
|
|
responsible for inspecting a record described by Section 2258.024 |
|
|
to ensure compliance with this subchapter. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
