AN ACT
|
|
relating to the general manager of the Upper Colorado River |
|
Authority. |
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
SECTION 1. Sections 8506.056(d), (e), and (f), Special |
|
District Local Laws Code, are amended to read as follows: |
|
(d) The board may employ a general manager. The general |
|
manager [presiding officer] is the chief executive officer of the |
|
authority. The general manager may not be a member of the board. |
|
(e) The secretary, secretary pro tem, presiding officer, |
|
general manager, and treasurer have the powers and duties, hold |
|
office for the term, and are subject to removal in the manner |
|
provided by the bylaws. |
|
(f) The board shall set the compensation of the secretary, |
|
secretary pro tem, presiding officer, general manager, and |
|
treasurer. |
|
SECTION 2. Section 8506.058(c), Special District Local Laws |
|
Code, is amended to read as follows: |
|
(c) The general manager [presiding officer] is in charge of |
|
the authority's general office. |
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
