A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to the municipal determination of exceptions to plat |
|
|
requirements for certain property developments. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

|
SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 212, Local Government |
|
|
Code, is amended by adding Section 212.0455 to read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 212.0455. EXCEPTION TO PLAT REQUIREMENT: MUNICIPAL |
|
|
DETERMINATION. To determine whether specific developments of |
|
|
tracts of land are required to be platted under this subchapter, a |
|
|
municipality may define and classify the developments. A |
|
|
municipality need not require platting for every development of a |
|
|
tract of land otherwise within the scope of this subchapter. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
