A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the methods by which the comptroller may provide notice |
|
of a hearing on the revocation or suspension, or of the revocation |
|
or suspension, of a permit or license. |
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
SECTION 1. Section 111.0047, Tax Code, is amended by |
|
amending Subsection (d) and adding Subsection (e) to read as |
|
follows: |
|
(d) Notices under this section may be served on the holder |
|
of the permit or license personally or may be mailed to the holder's |
|
address as shown in the records of the comptroller. At the option |
|
of the holder of the permit or license, the notices may be served by |
|
electronic means instead of served personally or mailed. |
|
(e) A notice served by electronic means must be addressed to |
|
the person's e-mail address as it appears in the comptroller's |
|
records. Service by electronic means is complete when the |
|
comptroller transmits the notice to the person's e-mail address. |
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
