| relating to the confiscation of packaged, unopened fireworks by a | ||
| municipality that regulates fireworks. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 342.013(a), Local Government Code, is | ||
| amended to read as follows: | ||
| (a) A home-rule municipality that regulates fireworks may | ||
| not confiscate fireworks in the possession of a person if the person | ||
| possesses only packaged, unopened fireworks. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. | ||
