A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the supervision of the chief of police of a private |
|
|
institution of higher education's police department. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 51.212, Education Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (g) to read as follows: |
|
|
(g) The chief of police of the police department of a |
|
|
private institution of higher education shall be under the |
|
|
supervision of the chief executive of the institution. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
