A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to a memorial monument dedicated to emergency medical |
|
|
services personnel in the State Cemetery. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 2165.2561, Government Code, is amended |
|
|
by adding Subsection (w) to read as follows: |
|
|
(w) The State Cemetery Committee shall erect an appropriate |
|
|
memorial monument in the State Cemetery dedicated to emergency |
|
|
medical services personnel, as defined by Section 773.003, Health |
|
|
and Safety Code, in this state. Money in the State Cemetery |
|
|
preservation trust fund created under Section 2165.2565 may be used |
|
|
to erect and maintain the memorial monument described by this |
|
|
subsection. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
