A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to limitations on claims for warrants for payments of |
|
|
certain deficiencies. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 403.075, Government Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsections (d-1) and (d-2) to read as follows: |
|
|
(d-1) A person may submit, and the governor may approve, |
|
|
multiple claims under this section for any one event or cause giving |
|
|
rise to a deficiency. |
|
|
(d-2) Each biennium, the legislature shall determine the |
|
|
total appropriations available, if any, from which claims may be |
|
|
paid under this section. |
|
|
SECTION 2. Section 403.075(e), Government Code, is |
|
|
repealed. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
