A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|

|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to performance criteria for the award of certain adult |
|
|
education and literacy funds. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 315.006, Labor Code, is amended by |
|
|
adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: |
|
|
(c) To the extent permitted under federal law, the |
|
|
commission by rule shall prescribe criteria to ensure that each |
|
|
entity that receives money appropriated under this section achieves |
|
|
enrollment targets and performance benchmarks that are comparable |
|
|
to those provided by Section 315.007(c). |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
