A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

relating to public libraries as voter registration agencies. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 20.091, Election Code, is amended to |
|
|
read as follows: |
|
|
Sec. 20.091. APPLICABILITY OF OTHER PROVISIONS. (a) The |
|
|
other provisions of this chapter apply to a public library except: |
|
|
(1) provisions that conflict with this subchapter; and |
|
|
(2) as provided by Subsection (b). |
|
|
(b) Section 20.004 does not apply to a public library. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
