R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout is an achievement shared by |
|
|
only a select few, and the attainment of this significant honor by |
|
|
Johnny Francis Mynar-Melendrez of Eagle Pass heralds a future |
|
|
bright with opportunity and promise; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A junior at C.C. Winn High School, |
|
|
Mr. Mynar-Melendrez has mastered a number of important skills in |
|
|
his quest to become an Eagle Scout; he has earned 25 merit badges |
|
|
requiring expertise in such diverse areas as first aid, personal |
|
|
fitness, and environmental science, and he has gained experience in |
|
|
leadership and teamwork while undertaking an Eagle Scout project |
|
|
that has contributed to the betterment of his community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has ably served his peers in |
|
|
Scouts BSA Troop No. 274 in a designated position of |
|
|
responsibility, and in so doing, he has exemplified the many |
|
|
positive traits for which Boy Scouts are renowned; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In fulfilling the rigorous requirements for |
|
|
attaining the Eagle Scout insignia, Johnny Mynar-Melendrez has |
|
|
demonstrated an unwavering commitment to Scouts BSA and its ideals, |
|
|
and the knowledge and confidence he has acquired along the way will |
|
|
indeed serve him well in the years to come; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Johnny Francis Mynar-Melendrez on |
|
|
achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Mynar-Melendrez as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
