R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Friends and family were deeply saddened by the
  passing of Lupita Zapata of Robstown on August 13, 2020, at the age
  of 68; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Adan and Maria Zapata, Lupita Zapata
  was born in Robstown on November 18, 1951, and she grew up with the
  companionship of her sister, Yolanda; she worked as a caregiver and
  licensed vocational nurse for nearly five decades, and she devoted
  herself to providing compassionate care to each of her patients; in
  her leisure time, she enjoyed traveling, dancing, and being with
  her loved ones; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Zapata was adored by an extended family that
  grew to include her twin nieces, Yvonne and Yvette, her
  great-nieces and great-nephews, Adam, DJ, Aaron, Ariel, and Isaac,
  and her great-great-nieces, Noah and Tristan; she was also the
  proud godmother of many children who have grown to adulthood; and
         WHEREAS, Although Lupita Zapata is deeply missed, memories of
  her love and friendship remain to comfort and inspire those who were
  privileged to share in her life; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Lupita Zapata and
  extend sincere condolences to all who mourn her passing; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Lupita
  Zapata.
