R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Friends and family were deeply saddened by the |
|
|
passing of Lupita Zapata of Robstown on August 13, 2020, at the age |
|
|
of 68; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Adan and Maria Zapata, Lupita Zapata |
|
|
was born in Robstown on November 18, 1951, and she grew up with the |
|
|
companionship of her sister, Yolanda; she worked as a caregiver and |
|
|
licensed vocational nurse for nearly five decades, and she devoted |
|
|
herself to providing compassionate care to each of her patients; in |
|
|
her leisure time, she enjoyed traveling, dancing, and being with |
|
|
her loved ones; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Zapata was adored by an extended family that |
|
|
grew to include her twin nieces, Yvonne and Yvette, her |
|
|
great-nieces and great-nephews, Adam, DJ, Aaron, Ariel, and Isaac, |
|
|
and her great-great-nieces, Noah and Tristan; she was also the |
|
|
proud godmother of many children who have grown to adulthood; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Although Lupita Zapata is deeply missed, memories of |
|
|
her love and friendship remain to comfort and inspire those who were |
|
|
privileged to share in her life; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Lupita Zapata and |
|
|
extend sincere condolences to all who mourn her passing; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Lupita |
|
|
Zapata. |
