H.R. No. 225
 
 
 
R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
  of Joseph Lynn Manchaca, who passed away on January 7, 2021, at the
  age of 67; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Frank and Juana Manchaca, Joe Manchaca
  was born on March 9, 1953, in Nacogdoches; he was a member of FFA and
  DECA at Nacogdoches High School, and after graduation, he began a
  career in the automobile business that included opening his own
  repair shop, Joe Manchaca Automotive; he went on to work for
  Satellite Logistics Group and as North American director for
  warehouse operations for the international logistics firm
  Hillebrand, out of their Houston office; and
         WHEREAS, A leader in his community, Mr. Manchaca was
  president of the San Leon Municipal Utility District for 16 years,
  as well as vice president of the Dwane Caldwell Military
  Scholarship and Charity Foundation, chaplain of the Sons of the
  American Legion, and a lifetime member of the San Leon Fire
  Department; he also volunteered with the Sisters Helping Sisters
  Brotherhood and with the San Leon Yard Birds, who mow the lawns of
  the elderly and individuals with disabilities at no cost; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Manchaca enjoyed the love
  and support of his wife, Marlene, and he took great pride in his
  three sons, Troy, Jake, and Chris; with the passing years, he had
  the pleasure of seeing his family grow to include 10 grandchildren,
  Maddox, Sadie, Darynn, Amelie Jo, Brayden, Raymond, Benjamin,
  Emmary, McKinley Jo, and Skyler; and
         WHEREAS, Joe Manchaca lived a rich and purposeful life
  dedicated to his family and his community, and he leaves behind a
  legacy of generosity and service to others that will continue to
  inspire all those who knew and loved him; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Joseph Lynn
  Manchaca and extend heartfelt sympathy to his relatives and many
  friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Joseph Lynn
  Manchaca.
