R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A full and productive life drew to a close with the
  passing of Robert Bernard Berryman of Kerrville on January 7, 2021,
  at the age of 92; and
         WHEREAS, The son of PR and Maggie Berryman, Robert Berryman
  was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on August 8, 1928; he attended Decatur
  Boys High School and Young Harris College and served his country in
  both the Merchant Marine and the U.S. Air Force; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Berryman was an avid collector of antique arms,
  leading to a career as an expert in the field; he owned three
  Atlanta businesses, Berryman's Sport Center, the Gun Room, and the
  Antique Armory; having purchased the remarkable Locke Collection,
  he compiled a book on the subject, and he collaborated with his dear
  friend, Charles Schreiner III, on another book, A Pictorial History
  of the Texas Rangers; he served on the board of the Former Texas
  Rangers Foundation and as president of the Texas Gun Collectors
  Association; in addition, he was a member of the American Society of
  Arms Collectors for nearly six decades, and he belonged to the Colt
  Collectors Association, the National Rifle Association, and the
  Antique Bowie Knife Association; and
         WHEREAS, Devoted to his family, Mr. Berryman shared a
  fulfilling marriage with his wife, Dorothy Rains Berryman, and he
  was the father of two treasured daughters, Piper and Anita; he took
  great pride in his six grandchildren, Webb, Maggie, Will, Rob,
  Piper, and Annie, and in his four great-grandchildren, Banks,
  Briggs, Sims, and Teddy; and
         WHEREAS, Although Robert Berryman will be deeply missed, he
  has left his loved ones with many cherished memories, and he will
  forever hold a special place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Robert Bernard
  Berryman and extend sincere condolences to all who mourn his
  passing; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Robert
  Bernard Berryman.
