R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories |
|
of Enrique J. Rositas Jr., who passed away on July 11, 2020, at the |
|
age of 53; and |
|
WHEREAS, The son of Ramona Rositas and Enrique Rositas Sr., |
|
Enrique Rositas grew up with two brothers, Rafael and Raul, and a |
|
sister, Maribel; and |
|
WHEREAS, Answering his nation's call to duty, Mr. Rositas |
|
served in the U.S. Air Force from 1985 to 1997; he went on to join |
|
the U.S. Border Patrol, and he worked as a patrol agent in McAllen |
|
for 23 years; a man of deep religious conviction, he was a deacon of |
|
First Baptist Church, where he was also active with the Gideons and |
|
the church's children's department; and |
|
WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Rositas enjoyed the love |
|
and support of his wife, Monica, with whom he shared a rewarding |
|
marriage that spanned 16 years; he was the devoted father of two |
|
children, Monica and Alan; and |
|
WHEREAS, Enrique Rositas lived a rich and purposeful life |
|
dedicated to his family, his faith, and his country, and though he |
|
will be greatly missed, he leaves behind a record of service that |
|
his loved ones can remember with pride; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Enrique J. Rositas Jr. |
|
and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family and to |
|
his many friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Enrique |
|
Rositas. |
