R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Grady Elliott retired from the board of United |
|
Heritage Credit Union in 2020, concluding a distinguished tenure |
|
that spanned nearly two decades; and |
|
WHEREAS, Appointed to the board in 2001, Mr. Elliott |
|
graduated from the Credit Union Directors Leadership Institute two |
|
years later; he was designated as a Certified Credit Union |
|
Director; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Elliott previously served from 1987 to 1992 as a |
|
member of the credit union's supervisory committee, and he was its |
|
chair for two years; he first joined the Austin-based credit union |
|
in 1984; and |
|
WHEREAS, A veteran of the United States Air Force, |
|
Mr. Elliott brought to United Heritage extensive management |
|
experience; he attained the rank of chief master sergeant during |
|
his 30 years in the military and served as executive officer to the |
|
base commander and as command senior enlisted advisor to the wing |
|
commander; following his retirement in 1984, he was employed at |
|
Bergstrom Air Force Base as manager of the Personal Financial |
|
Management Program; he holds a bachelor's degree in |
|
education/sociology from Alabama State University; and |
|
WHEREAS, Grady Elliott greatly benefited United Heritage |
|
Credit Union through his expertise and dedication to its mission, |
|
and he may indeed reflect with pride on his long record of exemplary |
|
service; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby honor Grady Elliott for his service on the board |
|
of United Heritage Credit Union and extend to him sincere best |
|
wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Elliott as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
