R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt at
  the untimely death of Kaitlyn Renea Byrum of Colmesneil, who passed
  away on March 31, 2021, at the age of 17; and
         WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of Colmesneil, Kaitlyn Byrum was
  born on January 22, 2004; her loving family included her mother,
  Jennifer Byrum, and her siblings, Leah, Taryn, and Tanner; she was a
  junior at Colmesneil High School, where she distinguished herself
  as a talented athlete on the volleyball, basketball, tennis, and
  track teams and as an editor on the yearbook staff; whenever she set
  her mind to something, she was determined to succeed; and
         WHEREAS, Fond of traveling, Kaitlyn always looked forward to
  going on annual cruises with her family; her caring heart and warm
  sense of humor made her a joy to be around, and she was known as a
  young woman of deep faith; and
         WHEREAS, Although her journey on this earth ended far too
  soon, Kaitlyn Byrum touched the lives of her loved ones in ways
  beyond measure, and she will forever hold a cherished place in their
  hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Kaitlyn Renea Byrum
  and extend profound condolences to the members of her family: to her
  mother, Jennifer Byrum; to her sisters, Leah White and Taryn Byrum;
  to her brother, Tanner Rhodes; to her grandparents, Tommy and
  Cecilia Reynolds; to her special friend, Kaleb Powers; and to her
  other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Kaitlyn
  Byrum.
