R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt at |
|
the untimely death of Kaitlyn Renea Byrum of Colmesneil, who passed |
|
away on March 31, 2021, at the age of 17; and |
|
WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of Colmesneil, Kaitlyn Byrum was |
|
born on January 22, 2004; her loving family included her mother, |
|
Jennifer Byrum, and her siblings, Leah, Taryn, and Tanner; she was a |
|
junior at Colmesneil High School, where she distinguished herself |
|
as a talented athlete on the volleyball, basketball, tennis, and |
|
track teams and as an editor on the yearbook staff; whenever she set |
|
her mind to something, she was determined to succeed; and |
|
WHEREAS, Fond of traveling, Kaitlyn always looked forward to |
|
going on annual cruises with her family; her caring heart and warm |
|
sense of humor made her a joy to be around, and she was known as a |
|
young woman of deep faith; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although her journey on this earth ended far too |
|
soon, Kaitlyn Byrum touched the lives of her loved ones in ways |
|
beyond measure, and she will forever hold a cherished place in their |
|
hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Kaitlyn Renea Byrum |
|
and extend profound condolences to the members of her family: to her |
|
mother, Jennifer Byrum; to her sisters, Leah White and Taryn Byrum; |
|
to her brother, Tanner Rhodes; to her grandparents, Tommy and |
|
Cecilia Reynolds; to her special friend, Kaleb Powers; and to her |
|
other relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Kaitlyn |
|
Byrum. |
