R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Jose
  Ismael Ochoa of Palmview, who passed away on January 22, 2021, at
  the age of 74; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Ramon and Constanza Ochoa, "Melo" Ochoa
  was born on October 4, 1946, in Peñitas, where his parents owned a
  store; he was a successful businessman, himself, who went on to
  start several small businesses; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Ochoa was devoted to his family, and he shared a
  fulfilling relationship with his wife, Armandina Ochoa; the proud
  father of three daughters, Veronica, Velma, and Belinda, he was
  eventually blessed with six grandchildren, Romeo, Vivian,
  Victoria, Ramiro, Luis, and Abigaél, as well as three
  great-grandchildren, Roman, Jose, and Valentina; and
         WHEREAS, Long engaged in civic life, Mr. Ochoa served on the
  La Joya school board before his election as justice of the peace for
  Hidalgo County Precinct 3, Place 2; he held that position for nearly
  a quarter-century; and
         WHEREAS, Although Melo Ochoa is deeply missed, he has left
  his loved ones with many happy memories of time spent in his
  company; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Jose Ismael Ochoa and
  extend sincere condolences to his family: to his wife, Armandina
  Ochoa; to his daughters, Veronica Ochoa, Velma P. Ochoa, and
  Belinda Ochoa; to his grandchildren, Romeo I. Gutierrez, Vivian R.
  Lopez, Victoria R. Flores, Ramiro D. Flores, Luis Carlos Venegas,
  and Abigaél V. Venegas; to his great-grandchildren, Roman O. Lopez,
  Jose Ismael Lopez, and Valentina R. Lopez; to his siblings, Juan L.
  Ochoa, Ramon G. Ochoa, Aurora M. Reyna, and Maria C. Martinez; and
  to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jose Ismael
  Ochoa.
