R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, In February 2021, citizens across Texas experienced |
|
|
the devastating effects of Winter Storm Uri, and in House District |
|
|
26, Alings Chinese Bistro played an important role in helping the |
|
|
community respond to this unprecedented emergency; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The owners of the restaurant recognized that |
|
|
residents of senior living centers would experience particular |
|
|
hardship as a result of power outages and problems with the water |
|
|
supply; with the assistance of the Alings staff, the owners |
|
|
generously provided hot meals for those residents; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Demonstrating exceptional initiative and |
|
|
perseverance during a time of crisis, the owners and staff of Alings |
|
|
Chinese Bistro dedicated time and resources to help those in need, |
|
|
and they are indeed deserving of special recognition for their |
|
|
efforts; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Alings Chinese Bistro for its outstanding |
|
|
service during Winter Storm Uri and commend the owners and staff on |
|
|
a job well done; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the restaurant as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
