R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Emma Brinsden of Austin has ably served her fellow
  Texans as an intern in the office of State Representative Dan
  Huberty during the 87th Legislative Session; and
         WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Brinsden has provided
  vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks,
  including communicating with constituents, completing casework,
  and tracking legislation; in addition to gaining valuable
  experience in the field of public service, she has learned more
  about the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the
  Lone Star State; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Carrie and Jonathan Brinsden, Emma
  Brinsden is a student at The University of Texas at Austin, where
  she is studying public relations with a minor in business; a UT
  Distinguished College Scholar, she has also been named to the Moody
  College of Communication Dean's List; she is active in the campus
  community, taking part in the Texas Public Relations Student
  Society of America, serving as director of events for Alpha Phi, and
  winning election as vice president of external recruitment for the
  UT Panhellenic Council; following graduation, she hopes to build
  her knowledge and experience by working on political campaigns; and
         WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her
  duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is
  indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Emma Brinsden for her service as a
  legislative intern in the office of State Representative Dan
  Huberty and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success
  in all her endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Brinsden as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
