R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Since the COVID-19 outbreak began, the faculty and |
|
staff of the Lamar Consolidated Independent School District have |
|
ably responded to the challenges presented by this global health |
|
crisis; and |
|
WHEREAS, COVID-19 has put a tremendous strain on teachers, |
|
students, administrators, and staff; even during these |
|
unprecedented circumstances, Lamar CISD has kept all of its |
|
campuses open, ensuring students have the best opportunity to |
|
succeed while balancing the safety of all involved; and |
|
WHEREAS, Lamar CISD serves a diverse group of students from a |
|
wide range of racial, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds; |
|
students and their families benefit from the inspired leadership of |
|
superintendent Dr. Thomas Randle, trustees Joy Williams, Mandi |
|
Bronsell, Joe Hubenak, Kay Danziger, Alex Hunt, Kathryn Kaminski, |
|
and Jon Welch, and the many teachers and staff members of the |
|
district; and |
|
WHEREAS, Demonstrating exceptional perseverance during this |
|
time of crisis, the teachers, administrators, and staff of Lamar |
|
CISD are indeed deserving of recognition for their dedicated |
|
efforts; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend the faculty and staff of the Lamar |
|
Consolidated Independent School District for their outstanding |
|
service during the COVID-19 pandemic and extend to them sincere |
|
best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Lamar CISD as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
