R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Senior Officer Edward Kearney retired from the |
|
|
Corpus Christi Police Department on February 20, 2021, drawing to a |
|
|
close an outstanding career in law enforcement that spanned 32 |
|
|
years; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ed Kearney joined the Corpus Christi Police |
|
|
Department in August 1988; after graduating from the police academy |
|
|
and completing his field training, he was assigned to the patrol |
|
|
division, where he served with dedication; a highly decorated |
|
|
officer, he was honored by the department with a Life Saving Award; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through his skill, professionalism, and deep |
|
|
commitment to public safety, Ed Kearney has earned the lasting |
|
|
respect of his colleagues and fellow citizens alike, and he may |
|
|
indeed reflect with pride on his contributions; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Senior Officer Edward Kearney on |
|
|
his retirement from the Corpus Christi Police Department and extend |
|
|
to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Senior Officer Kearney as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
