R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Senior Officer Karl Wright retired from the Corpus |
|
|
Christi Police Department in 2021, drawing to a close an |
|
|
outstanding career with the agency that spanned 22 years; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A veteran of the U.S. Army, Officer Wright served |
|
|
the department as a patrol officer, field training officer, and |
|
|
field training officer coordinator; he also worked in the |
|
|
Narcotics/Vice Investigations Division and concluded his tenure |
|
|
with the Traffic Safety Section; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Over the years, Officer Wright has received a number |
|
|
of accolades in recognition of his dedicated service, including |
|
|
three Officer of the Year awards; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through his skill, professionalism, and deep |
|
|
commitment to public safety, Karl Wright has earned the lasting |
|
|
respect of his colleagues and fellow citizens alike, and he may |
|
|
indeed reflect with pride on his contributions; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Senior Officer Karl Wright on his |
|
|
retirement from the Corpus Christi Police Department and extend to |
|
|
him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Officer Wright as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
