R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Detective Joe Garza retired from the Corpus Christi |
|
|
Police Department on January 15, 2021, drawing to a close an |
|
|
outstanding career with the agency that spanned 34 years; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Senior Officer Garza first joined the department in |
|
|
1986 and began working in the patrol division; he later served as a |
|
|
narcotics and vice investigator before becoming a detective in the |
|
|
Criminal Investigations Division, where he worked on cases |
|
|
involving property crimes; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through his skill, professionalism, and deep |
|
|
commitment to public safety, Joe Garza has earned the lasting |
|
|
respect of his colleagues and fellow citizens alike, and he may |
|
|
indeed reflect with pride on his contributions; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Detective Joe Garza on his |
|
|
retirement from the Corpus Christi Police Department and extend to |
|
|
him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Detective Garza as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
