R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Christopher Ray Vardy |
|
of Fort Worth were deeply saddened at his passing on February 11, |
|
2021, at the age of 49; and |
|
WHEREAS, Chris Vardy was born in Lubbock to James and Mary Lou |
|
Vardy on September 25, 1971, and he grew up with the companionship |
|
of his three siblings, Leslea, Louanne, and Rob; following his |
|
graduation from Frenship High School, he attended Texas Tech |
|
University and earned a bachelor's degree in business; he went on to |
|
pursue a rewarding career as a contract administrator for |
|
InterConnect Wiring; and |
|
WHEREAS, On June 18, 1994, Mr. Vardy married his college |
|
sweetheart, the former Tamara Neff, and the couple shared a |
|
fulfilling union that spanned 26 years; he became the proud father |
|
of two sons, Brendan and Christopher, and he took great pleasure in |
|
supporting them in all their endeavors; a man of faith, he was a |
|
valued congregant of the First United Methodist Church of Fort |
|
Worth; and |
|
WHEREAS, Possessed of a warm and generous nature and a joyous |
|
zest for life, Chris Vardy brightened the world for all who knew |
|
him, and they will forever hold him close in their hearts; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Christopher Ray |
|
Vardy and extend sincere condolences to all who mourn his passing; |
|
and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Chris |
|
Vardy. |
