R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A radiant and meaningful life drew to a close far too
  soon with the passing of Dylan Wayne Dorrell of Denton on August 13,
  2020, at the age of 17; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Lisa and Gus Dorrell, Dylan Dorrell was
  born on February 2, 2003; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Dorrell was an incoming senior at Guyer High
  School, where he was a member of the Class of 2021; a gifted
  athlete, he was a four-year member of the cross country team and was
  known for his strong work ethic and commitment to improving every
  detail of his performance; he also belonged to several school clubs
  and devoted himself to his animation classes; and
         WHEREAS, Admired by his classmates, teachers, and coaches,
  Mr. Dorrell possessed a positive outlook and always had a smile on
  his face; loving and kind, he was a caring friend and never
  hesitated to help anyone in need; he took great pleasure in drawing
  and was an avid fan of Pokemon, Super Smash Bros., and Star Wars,
  even building his own light sabers from scratch; in all his
  endeavors, he charted his own course and was beloved for his
  originality; and
         WHEREAS, Dylan Dorrell immeasurably enriched the lives of all
  who had the good fortune to share in his love and friendship, and
  they will forever carry him close in their hearts; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Dylan Wayne Dorrell
  and extend deepest condolences to his parents, relatives, and many
  friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Dylan
  Dorrell.
