R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The Office of the House Sergeant-at-Arms has played
  an essential role in the activities of the Texas House of
  Representatives during the Regular Session of the 87th Legislature;
  and
         WHEREAS, House sergeant-at-arms Michael Black is responsible
  for maintaining order in the house chamber and meeting rooms,
  securing the attendance of members, and assisting all house
  officers in carrying out their administrative duties; assistant
  sergeant-at-arms Andrew Phinney oversees the daily activities of
  the sergeant messengers, who contribute to the efficiency of the
  legislative process in innumerable ways; and
         WHEREAS, The tasks of the sergeant's office could not be
  performed without the support of office supervisors, who include
  doorkeeper Anthony Hester, along with Kyle Burke, Kara Coffee,
  Jacob Del Bosque, Alejandra Herndon, Dylan Humphrey, Kyle Paylor,
  and Devan Petersen; and
         WHEREAS, Safeguarding the vehicles of legislators and
  guaranteeing the availability of their parking spaces are other
  functions of the office, and Joseph Collins, Roger Ibarra Jr.,
  Walter Kyles, David Maldonado, Billy Moore, Richard Robinson,
  Rudell Roe, and Joe Saucedo are the house parking guards; and
         WHEREAS, The staff also includes sergeant messengers Joseph
  Arihalam, Bradley Bizzell, Justin Canty, Schuyler Colfax, Alec
  DeGilio, Antonio Elizondo, Aime Espinoza Contreras, Stephen
  Gibson, Michaella Glover, Austin Hayes, Briana Hernandez, Joseph
  Johnson, Shelby King, Katelin Kirkpatrick, Victoria Kobak, Joshua
  Lehrer, Claudio Gabriel Mendoza, Noemi Montoya, Christina
  Moten-Johnson, Haley Petersen, Michael Ray, Luke Servantes,
  Kathryn Sheppard, Nicholas Stanley, Michelle "Thy" Tran, Joseph
  Valenzuela, Brianah Wallace, and Matthew Wright; and
         WHEREAS, These dedicated employees help to ensure the success
  of the day-to-day operations of the Texas House of Representatives,
  and the members of this chamber are pleased to express their
  gratitude for a job well done; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Michael Black and the staff of the
  Office of the House Sergeant-at-Arms for their exceptional work
  this session and extend to them sincere best wishes for the future;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the office as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
